Samsung Allegedly Releasing Galaxy Note II in October

Calling the Samsung Galaxy Note a success is likely an understatement. The phone/tablet hybrid has done exceptionally well and has possibly sparked a new genre of mobile tech, inspiring other manufacturers to give thought to developing “phablets” of their very own. Like most successful first-run devices, a sequel is almost inevitable, but if a report holds true, the Galaxy Note could be seeing a follow up before year’s end.
UbuntuLife claims that Samsung is planning on releasing the Galaxy Note II in October, which will allegedly feature a dual-core Exynos processor, 1.5GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch WSXGA+ display, 8-megapixel camera, and LTE connectivity. Taking its queue from the Galaxy S III, the new Note is also rumored to be similar in appearance and include Samsung’s unique softwares, such as S Beam and S Voice. While a second Galaxy Note makes sense, it still feels very early for a device that is believed to be spreading its wings to other major carriers in the not so distant future. However, if a new Galaxy Note does show up in October, we’ll gladly enjoy our slice of humble pie.
